Lightsabers may slice things up,
and can deflect blaster bolts. Interestingly enough, they may
also be used to melt blast doors.
Lightsaber handles noticably lack resistance to lightsaber blades.
Blasters are used extensively in TPM. Simple and easy to operate, they
spit red bolts capable of killing someone in one or two shots; there are
also a number of specialized weapons that may be used against droids.

We also saw proton
torpedos used in TPM - namely, several used inside the control ship to
great effect on the reactor, and one striking the exterior of the ship.
This exterior attack failed to damage the communications dish of the
droid control ship. Nevertheless, this gives interesting detail about
the yield of the proton torpedo. The torpedo produces a fireball roughly
half the diameter of the communications dish - i.e., about 40-50 meters
across. We ordinarily associate this size of fireball with a device in
the 0.6-1.2 terajoule range, although the relatively small amount of
air available in low Naboo orbit limits the amount of material present.
Superheating a small quantity of material to blue-hot and using it to
fill the volume indicated produces a similar yield; however, we should
remember that some fraction of the blast is likely to have been
absorbed by the shield. 1-5 terajoules is thus a reasonable range of
yields.
