links@starfleetjedi.net. Your first stop should be this video, if you haven't seen it already. The second place you should stop is this article on the Versus subculture, which excellently presents some of the problems of the VS debate... and why, ultimately, the winner for plausibility will probably lose out on power. ST-v-SW.net is the most comprehensive and well-maintained Star Trek vs Star Wars websites on the net, averaging several updates per month. It is particularly notable for an in-depth look at the Death Star and a very useful page on Star Wars and Star Trek ship volumes, as well as in-depth discussion on the place of the "Expanded Universe" within VS debate. The author of that website also maintains a page examining what qualifies as "true" Star Wars, found at Canon Wars. Associated forums have been springing up and declining over the years. Currently, no active forum exists for ST-v-SW.net. The Furry Conflict is a must-read site for any fans writing crossover fiction intended to appeal to both audiences. Built around a carefully balanced interaction between the slightly twisted versions of the Empire and Federation unique to VS debaters, the Furry Conflict is an epic fan-fiction tale. An audio drama edition is in the works, and the site also hosts its own "expanded universe" of Furry Conflict fan-fiction. |
