There are a few intriguing points about Star Wars that are underdeveloped in the movies. Of all the miscellaneous items in Star Wars, the most important is the Force. The Force may be used to lift heavy objects, or telekinetically throw them, or influence minds, or perceive death (or life) at a distance. Another miscellaneous point worth noting in the Star Wars universe is that cybernetic and medical technology is reasonably well developed past the modern age, and that droids come across as quite human.
