This is what you said:
Exar Kun and Darth nilhious and naga sadow as well as possibly marka ragnos are the strongest force users to exist considering eu luke and siddy dont exist and arent canon
I read that as meaning that Exar Kun and Naga Sadow were, since EU Luke and Palpatine weren't canon, the two strongest Force users to exist.

But from what I've heard or read of EU Luke and Palpy, both are more powerful then Kun or Sadow, and all four only exist in the EU...

Ah, i meant that since their eu feats contradict their movie showings its invalid for them but not for the ancients as to their power: Kun casually removed lukes soul from his body and sealed it off in the force then he possessed kyp "gary stu" durram right off the bat this was while weakened

sadow destroyed stars

ragnos made sadow look like a joke supposedly thats a bit more then even eu palpy and luke got flat out pwned

well sagow died thousands of years before the empire as did ragnos

kun was active for a bit during the alliance era iirc but seeing as his first action was "lulstomp every one then asplode stars" no it didnt help 'em at all

Well, either we ignore the EU for all, or we accept it for all.

But going from the feats you list, they are indeed very powerful... :)

Or, like most people, we simply edit out from our discussion those feats which are either not applicable because of the vast seperation in time, or those that are obviously non-canon because they are contradicted by the most powerful G-canon Force users.

Simple enough, no?

well, therin lies your problem Mike.
since we have no canon information on Naga Sadow, for example, and since in modern canon we have Galen Malek's ISD crash, then we really have no basis to refute Sadow or Magnor's feats.
Same thing for Luke, since his exploits as a Force Wanker happen after the movie timeline, we have nothing to refute his exploits with in movie...

why? unlike luke and siddy they exist exclusively in a medium of fiction seperate from the films and are not beholden to the films they also exist in an era beyond the main cast
Praeothmin wrote:But going from the feats you list, they are indeed very powerful... :)
a very badly resurrected marka ragnos was said to be too much for post DE Luke to handle alone and by his own admission may not of been able to succeed if he had the whole NJO as back up in handling him

they are indeed powerful but sidious fanboys and sdners tend to have a complete mental breakdown when you mention it

we have sadows comic feats and ghost kuns absolute and complete pwnage of wanked out jesus luke

the problem with that is we have Yoda and Palpy who in the films are the strongest force users of their respective eras confirmed in canon yet do things in the eu never backed up by their canon selves

simply put either you create two seperate versions or invalidate one sets feats

Yoda and Palpy were the most powerful in the movies, but they did not have the most Force potential.
Anakin at the time of the PT had, and Luke did in the OT.
Anakin was never able to fully devellop, but Luke was, after RotJ.
So it is quite likely he surpassed Yoda and Palpy in Force powers later on...

what we saw from anakin was supposed be roughly equal to half the power of siddy and yoda and he wasn´t fully tapped but we saw nothing that justified jesus luke and siddys crazier feats hell even kun and ragnos wouldn´t be stomping no elder gods that just asinine their writers had better taste

Luke couldn't have more than Anakin since his power was diluted by blood.

Force sensitivity isn't totally hereditary either, so Luke doesn't have to be a souped down version of his daddy.

the movies give the impression he has more potential or at least makes better use of it seeing as he had a fighting anime style power climb going from zero to near master level with very little training and being left more or less alone

The movies always gave me the impression Luke had at least as much potential as Anakin at the same age...

Didn't you see? He rooted himself in the Force to defend against an attack so deeply that not even the supermassive black hole at the center of the galaxy could move him!

ROTFLMAO

In the film-verse, however, the most power we've seen from the Force is lifting an X-wing about 2 meters-- i.e. at most 40,000kj-- about the energy in 1 ml of gasoline; so ST tech can easily stop that.
ROTFLMAO

EU Luke Skywalker is, by definition, an EU character, so the EU is obviously being used in this battle.
