my definition of a troll is the same as everyone else's. i think it's pretty clear that i wasn't just saying that wilga is constantly a troll and that he should be ashamed or some stupid thing like that. just that when someone consistently trolls you in a careful, subtle way which allows him to get away with it for ages on end because he's not TECHNICALLY breaking any rules, and then someone like wilga, who is normally a very very mellow, non-confrontational type finally snaps and trolls back hardcore, that that can be a fantastic thing to see.

imagine you're sitting in a classroom, trying to learn, and someone sitting behind you keeps flipping you in the earlobe over and over again, and every time you ask him to stop, he just laughs. this continues for weeks on end, and one day you finally snap and punch him right in the mouth.

Perhaps you should work on elucidation, to me calling someone a troll and making a thread to showcase a poster's folly and titling "X is funny" or the like is not a sign of praise/endearment. Nor do I think I'm completly alone in this thought process.

I freely admit I may have misread/misinterpeted your intent, to which I apologize, but that is simply the risk of human to human interaction. The post I responded too was less than clear calling Wilga a troll, not a term most people would like to be labled, and claiming a misunderstanding of the intent of the old thread.

it would have been only the one post, but then i realized it was you that fucked with my other thread ages back and i admit i went from astonished anger to BLISTERING FURY. assuming you simply misunderstood (twice) that saying something wilga had done was 'glorious' and that i 'loved it so much i made a thread about it' was not meant as an insult, and that 'spock misinterpreted my intentions and thought i was mocking him' somehow meant 'i was mocking him', then yes i overreacted. but rather than showing a need to elucidate more clearly on my part, i would say it shows that you need to pay attention or refrain from commenting, especially when you're going to scold someone. it doesn't get more clear than 'spock misinterpreted my intentions and thought i was mocking him'. i still have to believe that either a) you totally failed to read that post or b) you are indeed trolling ME. and i would LOVE to see someone else back you up with 'i thought saying he had been misunderstood as having mocked wilga was an obvious admission that he had been mocking wilga.' really?

Compare that to the list of abuse ryan posted and the other stuff i did not bother to post here and it shows that things are no different on SB.com in regards to unequal moderation levels depending on who you are.

It should be noted that i mailed complaints for all his abuse and infractions and most if not all were obviously ignored while i got a warning for a couple of very minor comments and actually leaving a thread.

I am not alone in regards to having complaints ignored and due to comments made by white_rabbit and others it seems to be deliberate and part of a obvious strategy likely a new type of "bait and wait" deal they are so fond of using, a few comments were made regarding burden of proof ect as well as me being asked if i thought i was being treated unfairly so they maybe hoping for a new complaints process to begin and have plans regarding it.

one thing I've noticed is that due large in part to 4chans influence "trolling" can be a compliment..it really depends on the context it's used in the term is certainly retaining it's old negative definition but it's evolving

sorta like how the F bomb can have a zillion different meanings
