MW Galactic Empire vs Star Trek Online

Post by User1652 » Sun Sep 23, 2012 7:36 pm

The Empire as imagined from Star Trek Conquest fanfic is invading the ST Galaxy as of 2409. All players are given command of their own ship and only have 1 life. If they die they are locked out of the game. The invasion starts in the same area as the original story. How will it go now with it being in the game universe?

First off, while STO has some pretty powerful tech going for it, Wong's "Conquest" story is a Gary Stu fanfic, with Admiral Kanos being Wong's prime Stu character, and so you have to have a way to defeat the awesome power of the Stu! Otherwise it's going to be a pretty even fight.

Problem STO all honestly story line next to no sense come cannon. Single Nova class starship fight off nearly 3 Negh'Var Heavy Battle Cruiser with fact Klingon secound power starship and that no were near Federation must power starship think Klingon Empire one sueing for peace. We get see this happen Star Terk end games single Nova class starship took 3 Negh Var heavy battle Cruiser. Galaxy X class account the Klingon even worst off.

That's game mechanic. The story itself fits with Star Trek canon very well: I encountered a communication from Spock's Romulan protegee' from "Reunification, Part 2"

That's the just game mechanic. The story of STO is just fine: it manages to explain the plotholes in the Abrams movie, and it ties in with several episodes of Star Trek ranging across all series, including "Reunification".
