Just by looking at TCW and the movies, you've inserted the top of the line Sith, who did display powers and abilities out the wazoo, against Cardassians, a few Jem'Hadar and a Founder...

The Dominion forces are fucked, period...
The 30 Mauls will (pun intended) maul the forces of the Cardassians, the 10 Ventresses will kill the survivors, and if necessary Dooku will step in...
Come on...

Uh, Praeo, aren't you forgetting the fact that Force-sensitivity did NOTHING to stop Jedi from getting mowed down by bog-standard Clonetroopers in ROTS?

And Mr. O, the Cardassian disruptor rifle's output is 4.7 megajoules.

Come on what? No more wide beam setting, great range, megajoule blasts which will ac as good flash bangs, super accuracy, gaseous Founders, etc.?
Jedi and Sith excel at fighting each other and dealing with extremely inaccurate rifle fire.
Darth Maul hasn't proved much on an open battlefield against a legion either.

If you're talking about the first trilogy, no he didn't. The closest he comes to that is dealing with wild Vornskrs on Myrkr, but that was on the planet where those nifty Ysalamiri suppressed most of Luke's Force ability, so it doesn't really count.

And that weapon has a millisecond recharge time apparently between shots. But the big game changer is the Breen CRM-114s, which output in the 4.6 gigajoule range. Like I said earlier, smart tactics by the Dominion forces will win this one.

And how do we know these Jedi were as good as Maul or Ventress?
Ventress, if you remember, was able to take on both Obi-Wan AND Anakin in TCW, while Maul was able to take on both Qui-Gon Jinn AND a young Obi-Wan in TPM, and in both cases, the pair of Jedi were shown as the best against droids and in TPM, Obi and Jinn were mowing down droids by the bucket load, and in TCW, Obi and Anakin do the same with pretty much anything...

We're not talking about cheap-ass Jedi masters who get owned by Jango's blaster here...

Let me correct you here, Mr. O:
Jedi and Sith excel at fighting each other and dealing with extremely inaccurate rifle fire which saturate any given area and will be much more intense than any firefight in ST...

So while they are used to deal with un-precise droids, the ROF from the ST hand weapons is nowhere near that of the SW droids...

I think he's talking about the Shadow creature that was with the Ship stealer character...
A "frell" I believe it was called, or something like that...

Praeo, are you aware that the energy output of the CRM-114 is equivalent to about a ton of TNT? That's gonna fuck over the Jedi and Sith REAL GOOD.

Allow me a correction from your claims.

Jedi and Sith excel at fighting each other and dealing with extremely inaccurate rifle fire which actually fails to saturate any given area since only a few lightsabre moves are enough to protect a front of a dozen Jedi from a wall of hundreds of droids marching and firing at them, because if any saturation there had been, only a large shield would have been able to protect each Jedi, the kind the Gungans used.

It is time for you to rewatch AOTC I think. ;)

A "frell"? I don't recall that in the HttE trilogy. Can you give more details?

Except that in First Contact, Nemesis and Insurrection we see phaser rifles firing pulses on both full auto and semi-automaticly, and I think that in one of DS9 episodes that deals with changeling infiltration we see old hair-dryer type rifles firing pulses in 3-pulse bursts when Sisko and Bashir check some tunnel or what the heck that was... granted, I'm going from memory, but I'm quite sure about these.

Also, in ST XI, we see Romulan disruptor rifles firing at almost a machine gun rate-of-fire, when Kirk and Sulu use them to disable the Narada's drill.

And where is that mentioned, or seen?

Except when there remains less Jedi in the arena, the Droids are firing a storm of bolts towards the Jedi, and most are blocked...
And again, no hand weapon in ST has that RoF...

And Mike, I can't find anything about the creature.
All I remember is that it could hide in shadows, and move like some sort of cloak, IIRC...

Well, Mike said that the CRM-114 has an output in the 4.6 gigajoule range. That, of course, is equal to 4.6 billion joules. As I learned in astronomy class, the explosive power of one ton of TNT is equal to 4 gigajoules.
