the TL bolt that briefly crippled the invisible hand later in the battle wasn't even Kiloton level it struck inside the gun ports and hit ammo casing and we barely got an notable explosion

virtually the entire battle was nothing but sailing ship style broad sides with Grevious requiring his ship to get up so close to the republic vessel that it seemed only a hundred feet away if that!

from the battle of curoscant we get a few things

1, if you put an ambassador and a few Mirandas there say in the same numbers we saw at wolf 359 the entire orbit of curoscant would of been turned into a mass graveyard

2, every single claim SWST made about that battle is an out and out lie and five minutes in youtube can prove this I'm asking the mods to look this over because nothing shown in any of the videos of the battle I can find including my own copy of the damn film show anything on that level of range or fire power

3, as it stands unless you can prove to me fire power improved drastically between the fall of the republic and twenty years post imperial dominion (aim did improve as did the STL movement speed of the vessels from what I can see i'll concede that) an SSD has no hope of scratching a Cubes paint job

4, any claims to fire power above a few megatons is highly suspect and this entire sequence instantly and for ever more completely and totally invalidates the ICS and any single calc ever made by any one that concludes fire power above kilotons to megs

5, The Cube thanks the empire for providing it with raw materials and fresh zombies then takes it new huge borg base off to rape in another galaxy

When both fleets were at a standoff at far range, Lando was wondering why the star destroyers were not firing. The officers on the ISD were ordered specifically not to fire at the Rebel fleet, and were perplexed at the order. Obviously, the Rebel fleet was within attack range of the imperial forces.

a statement not backed up by on screen evidence is bullshit

this is like when people say post crisis superman can "break the earth apart" by punching it gladiator style..he can't he can probably fuck it up something fierce but that's about it he aint that powerful..well yet any ways

and theres certainly more on panel evidence supporting that statement then there is hundreds of megs of fire power range

You mean the part where they are ordered to "Hold here"? Not hold fire but hold thier location strongly implying their attack would have involved them moving and making it extremely questionable the rebels were in effective range.

Here's the actual dialog from that scene:

COMMANDER
We're in attack position now, sir.

PIETT
Hold here.

COMMANDER
We're not going to attack?

PIETT
I have my orders from the Emperor himself. He
has something special planned for them. We
only need to keep them from escaping.

Note that no one mentions being in or out range, only that they are in "attack position". Meaning they might be in range, or they might be where they can move in and begin attacking, which will bring them into range.

"Hold here" implies that they have to move forward in order to attack. That is <100 km range.
