Even better to do that with all jets, it would eliminate runways and save hundreds of gallons of fuel/takeoff. Just launch the jet and then stop it when it lands.

Err... all jets is what we do today, and it transforms every single spaceship into a fuel tanker with loads of junk that keeps floating in orbit.

It would save a lot of fuel as well.
