Have we any examples of the borg fighting anything up to 900km in diameter with a big dish that screams "if i shoot you your fucked" written all over it?. No offence to the rebel admirals but not parking your ships in front of the big fuck off planet destroying gun after you have been made aware its operational does not require considerable tactical knowledge.

So yea maybe one cube if they initially think its just a comms dish searching the universe for some 7 of 9 porn but they either figure out how they can adapt to it after that one shot or it is easily avoided by the borg.

The Borg are dense enough that I can buy them trying to tank a DS superlaser preaoth makes a good point there these guys are really dense.

but I'm not sure if all would line up for the shot

bioships after repeatedly being fragged by them too

this is true and Landos "LOLZ DAWG WE TAKES DEM WITH US" was a little silly for Akbar to listen to

they may not be able to adapt to it FC has shown even after adapting if you hurl enough boom at them they start taking damage a planet smasher to the face maybe considerably out of their adaptability range

ISD fire power though likely is not at all out of the "adapt to your stuff" field

1) DSII is 160 kilometers in diameter.
2) Only way I can see Borg defeating superlaser is flying around Death Star at full impulse... that is, unless superlaser DET is rated in low gigatons. Thing that destroyed Rebel cruisers was DET, not chain-reaction or hyperspace technobabble which it uses in its planet-busting mode. (And yes, we know that it is not pure DET - Darkstar analyzed it, and we have quote in ANH novelization:
ANH novelization page 178 wrote:Theoretically, no weapon could penetrate the exceptionally dense stone of the ancient temple, but Luke had seen the shattered remnants of Alderaan and knew that for those in the incredible battle station that the entire moon would present simply another abstract problem in mass-energy conversion.

1. 160 or 900 the principal is the same.
2. That is what i said, although it also depends of the ROF of the superlaser and the qty of cubes and how they attack the DS as anybody with a ounce of sense will disable or deal with the superlaser first.
