I really pity the state of politics. So much power in the hands of people who are there because pay loads of money for them to get there, this cannot bode well for any aspect of geopolitical stability and national or worldwide economy.

Overall geopolitcal-ness is more assured when the focus of the work is limited to 5-25 year lengths. As each country's administration changes hands, some things get sapped of resources, but which things often shifts. But, most things tend to be more stable for time spans to the lower numbers end of the time scale. But, even when one thinks that all candidates suck, the citizenry should look to seeing who is the lesser evil. And all voting is a crap shoot on the chance the one you vote for isn't gonna do a 180 and betray the ideals that they had for a platform. Take Bush in 2000. He ran as a republican conservative. Expanding the powers of the executive branch, the size of the government and extensive spending are things that are not in line well with republican conservative views. While he wasn't the decider on every single thing that lead to all three, he ultimately has a large stake in the responsibility because he is the president. But, that doesn't absolve the congressmen that fell behind Bush for partisan reasons. They've got their own responsibility foot in there, too. To help maintain the conservative republican base, he'd do token gestures, like Harriet Myers with a wink, along with 2 other supreme court nominations. That guy that was in his administration has publicly and often said that the Bush administration used the religious wing of the party. Working the anti-gay marriage and anti-pro-choice angles into things.

If you define being politically successful with being just elected twice, the Bush administration was a success, but there are several areas that have gone down hill, regardless of one's politics. There is only just a small number of people that find the country is actually in very good standing. And we've got hundreds of millions of people here.

'Going with the devil you know than the devil you don't' has always been pretty screwed up to me. If you know that the one driving your bus is gonna run off a cliff, it's not gonna get worse with the other guy.

I'm throwing my faith behind Mcain as I feel he is the best choice out of our current lot.

Mr. Oragahn, if I may ask, why do you feel they, Barrack/Mcain, are sockpuppets?
