Fuck life...

Just learned that a colleague of mine, diagnosed with Lou Gerig's disease last November passed away yesterday...

He was a great person, a great colleague, and will be immensily missed...

Why do asshole warmongers like Bush live and decent people die?

FUCK LIFE, AND IF GOD EXISTS, FUCK HIM TOO!

Any words chosen will fail to convey or comprehend your loss. The only council I can offer would be to dwell not on the passing but on the life and all that made it worthy.

I know, I just felt like letting off some steam...

Pisses me off to no end, that guy was one of the best persons I've ever met in my life...
I've never, ever heard anyone say anything bad about him...

Meh...

I agree!

That's why I am now converting to the Spaghetti Monster... :)

Hey, beats Scientology.

Scientology vs the Flying Spaghetti monster

Are there any Scientologists here? If there are, I would politely request a logical explanation as to how Scientology is a more rationally credible religion than the Flying Spaghetti Monster is. If I were to go theist, I am considering these two religions as the one to go for, and I need help as to which one is the true path to salvation. Thank you.

Yeah, while Scientology gave us "Battlefield Earth", it also gave us 4 Mission Impossible movies, Collateral, Minority Report, etc...

So, while I don't believe the shit they spout about life in General, they know how to make movies...
Or indoctrinate people who know how to make movies... :)

Hated the ending, though...
The incredible killing Mofo who can do a double-tap incredibly fast (Cruise could do it for real as well, apprently, while training on a police course), gets killed by an imbecile cab driver shooting everywhere but at his target...

but i thought that was the whole point. in the end he fell to a near-random bullet and ended up riding the train, as the foreshadowing super-obviously pointed at throughout.

you know what's weird? tom cruise makes really good movies and really bad ones, and literally fucking does it in a pattern. he does some really big budget thing (and i am not saying the big action pictures aren't fun, but they certainly aren't art) and then he does some really fantastic little thing. it's like he just can't resist putting a few more million in the bank before going off to do something worthwhile. is the guy in 'magnolia' REALLY the same guy in 'war of the worlds'? wtf?

Tom's role in Magnolia was a gem...
I thought he was really good, and played a role far from any he had played before...

william h. macy tore it up in that one, too, with the funniest line of the film, and it was only one word:

bar guy: you got struck by lightning?
macy: yes.
bar guy: didn't that hurt?
macy: YES!

There just are times in your life that would make you think twice and ponder on what worse life has to offer but when you consider things closely, those are just simple hiccups that define people to be who they are.

From something that could be really simple to a major disappointing feeling, you just have to go through them one at a time.
