I think that equilateral parallelograms are superior to both of those.

No, because the angled surfaces are very efficent at deflecting them away.

The Organized Secret Services of the Rod Republic are actually very interested. It's an information the Cones won't know to use to their advantage.

Both sides are masters of strikes at 90°. There's at least four of such sides. Those silly forms are owned by both groups.
Rods seem to be good penetrators though...

Cones are the best. I have a bout half a dozen traffic cones in my tool shed. They're fun to throw and use as megaphones. I have a nasty tendency to get hit in the head by fishing rods. That's why cones are better than rods.
