That's not the issue though. The issue is showing that Lucas confirmed it to be canon evidence. There have been tons of licensed material over the years which have been approved, but much of which isn't canon evidence.Bambi wrote:then you know where im getting the information at that was the question if you know the program and are familiar with it then you know where i got it!!! and knoww all about it.

Not a big deal. Simply concede on that point, and in the future be careful making statements about what is evidence as confirmed by Lucas and what is not. You'll find that this is a highly controversial issue.Bambi wrote:how am i supposed to prove it then there is nothing i can say on this reply that proves he okayed it.
Remember: Lucas and Lucasfilm approve things all the time. For example, reference/technical manuals for both Trek and Wars have been approved at some level, but that doesn't necessarily make something canon evidence.
Luckily, on this forum, the topic starter is allowed to dictate what is to be used as evidence and what is not. If you wanted to say, for example, that for Star Wars, the movies, novelizations, and the Behind the Magic CD's were to be used as evidence, that's perfectly fine (though you'd find there are things on those CD's which are contradicted by the movies themselves). But stating that because Lucas approved something and therefore it's evidence is a completely different matter.

ok i understand, i fixed the thread and will remeber for future reference that the next time i make a thread to state the program in which I am using and not specifaclly say that George Lucas himself approved it. same way if i ever make a Star Trek thread i will not use a reference and say that Gene Roddenberry okayed it himself, because i cannot prove that everything in star trek TOS, TNG, DS9, Voyager were all approved by him.

Hahaha, I should hope not considering Gene Roddenberry was already dead when DS9 and Voyager was in production. But again, there is a difference between being "approved" material and being canon material.Bambi wrote:same way if i ever make a Star Trek thread i will not use a reference and say that Gene Roddenberry okayed it himself, because i cannot prove that everything in star trek TOS, TNG, DS9, Voyager were all approved by him.

First off, hello and welcome.
0. Have the fleet keep thier distance and stay out of effective weapon range. Orbit DS1 to stay way from superlaser.
1.Send in cannon fodder Peregrine fighters which should easily bypass the DS1 primary shielding.
2. use Fighters to destroy the large and ineffective turbolasers, which were quite vunerable to light fighter weapons. Since Peregrine carry microphoton torpedoes it should be that much easier.
3. When a sizable portion has been defanged, the big ships can fly in, wiping out any remiang nearby gun emplacments and then simply hammer the ship/beam troops into key positions/beam explovise/etc until the threat is gone.
Seven thousand fighters? I could believe the rest, but not that. They threw maybe a whole squadron at the rebel attack in ANH, yet had 6980 something fighters collecting dust? I understand thier are limites to what can be seen on screen and buget restraints, but still.Bambi wrote:Death Star I

Assuming there is no planet to be destroyed and we are merely talking about a fleet action, a post domian war era starfleet should be able to do it with a releativly modest sized fleet.Bambi wrote:(i'm sorry trekkies, but no federation starship not even your fleet that intercepted the Borg could survive an attack on the death star, face it.)
