Why did the Terrion Empire in Star Trek disband MACO

I mean understand even though disagree with them decide Star Trek beyond with UFP disband MACO because military agency more like UFP anti terrorist special forces but,why would Terriorn Empire disband MACO they no peace loving agency they blood thirsty racist group. Only possible reason I can think of for the Terrion Empire when comes to disband MACO is that verse of arm forces or possible navy can do the job just will just manpower. Any other ideas why Terrion Empire disband MACO.
