Luke Skywalker boards the Enterprise

The Federation has stolen some valuable intel on Star Wars technology and put it on the Enterprise, where it heads back to Earth. But Luke Skywalker in his Grand Master Force prime snuck onboard the Enterprise. The Enterprise's crew manage to gain info that he is on the ship.

Luke is going to try to not kill any of the crew members, and will do so only if necessary. After their attempts at surrender do not get a response, Captain Picard approves of the use of deadly force if it becomes necessary to do so.

For some strange reason, Picard stored the intel in the main bridge.

we did this one when i first got here. they use the force fields to trap him. if he uses his lightsaber to try to go through the floor, ceiling, or walls, apparently he hits anti-matter plasma or whatever.

Okay, this is a bit ambigous.

-When is this all occuring for both sides for their respective universes?

-Which Enterprise is this happening on, the D or E?

-How far has Luke been able to advance as a Jedi (See first question)?

-Why would Luke even care if the Federation gained access to some SW tech?

Also, by starting yet another thread here when you've yet to finish your debate with 2046 might not be the best thing to do, especially when it is clear you're having difficulty focusing attention to it.

Enterprise D

Legacy of the Force or Fate of the Jedi Luke

See above

Because the intel is top secret?

It's likely going to be a while before darkstar responds, understandably so, and responding in threads like this is not as work heavy as responding to a formal debate.

I am trying to stay neutral on this topic, although I admit that I am leaning towards Luke. For those claiming that they'd trap him in a force field or whatever, why did they not do that every time some intruders made their way onto Enterprise, aka about every other episode?

As luke gets closer to the bridge, they take the information, give it to data, teleport him onto a shuttle, launch it, and if they must they destroy the Enterprise to prevent luke from going after him.

Picard would try having a discussion with him, and give orders not to hurt Luke OR his feelings (since he's trying to show moral superiority to Kirk) ... while Luke pwned everyone on board.
Finally Worf would get mad and try to beat Luke up... and get his butt kicked, solely in order to show how tough and dangerous that Luke is-- because that's what Worf does in every episode.

Then Picard would beg Luke to surrender, and Luke would agree not to kill them because they're just too pathetic... again, because that's what happens in every episode.

Of course, they could simply use the ship's powers to stop Luke instantly; (and simply e-mail the info to Starfleet HQ)... but obviously Picard and his crew are on drugs.

This is particularly obvious, since The Force wouldn't even work on a Federation starship, because it's an energy field-- and that won't penetrate a Federation ship's shields.
Even if it did, the sensors would show it instantly if Luke used any sort of Force-power-- just like it did with Apollo; and obviously, his god-powers were far greater than any Force-power.

going by this logic the power cosmic..Green lantern energy and Chi/ki/riatsu/haki none of that would work on a Federation starship either due to they're shielding and technology

Unless you want to pretend that they're magical, in which case you've left the genre of sci-fi and gone full-bore Harry Potter with this "power cosmic" nonsense.

And that's exactly what happens if you claim the Force as some mystical power that can't be explained, detected or quantified-- or stopped: i.e. there's nothing to discuss since there's no basis for discussion.

But from square 1, the canon explained The Force as "an energy field created by living things," so there's no reason to pretend it isn't; and as Scotty said about in Who Mourns for Adonis, "you can't perform tricks like that without energy."
And that's also how they beat Apollo, so they could beat the Force in the same way.

Likewise, we've seen the Force stopped by itty-bitty X-wing shields, like in the Battle of Yavin, Darth Vader couldn't just reach out and affect the pilots of the ships-- he had to shoot them.

Whoa.. just.. You do read what it is you write, yes?

You're basically saying, "well because this apple is a fruit, and an orange is a fruit, they both taste the same!"

Just whoa.

Yeah, "whoah--" what astounding intellectual clarity, again in the "your stoopid" vein of throwing stones from a glass house.

Nice try... two out of three?

Can you show proof of this statement? Forcefields were used on a number of occasions to contain lone intruders, or even crewmembers. Two prominent examples of this off the top of my head are in "Allegience and "Brothers".

Ease up there, KSW. You're going down your usual path of insulting people who disagree with you, and you already know how that works out for you here.
