Okay, here are the final values after all the hours and hours of work cleaning up assorted models:

Code: Select all

Name Length Cubic Meters Mass (Low) Mass (High)
Imperial SD 1609 - 69,534,240 34,767,000	69,534,000
Venator SD 1137 - 15,838,619 7,919,000	15,839,000
Acclamator 752 - 8,140,243 4,070,000 8,140,000
Light Cruiser 160 - 63,114 31,600 63,100
The ISD is as close to the Avenger model as I can find and work with. The Acclamator is also rigorously checked against the films. The Venator looks good against production drawings and whatnot, but I haven't checked it against RotS or TCW screengrabs.

The new Light Cruiser looks pretty good by eye, but I haven't rigorously checked that model either, in part because it's the only model that I've found to exist.

If memory serves, the Force Unleashed novelization gives the mass of one million tons for a Victory-class Stardestroyer, and the Super Stardestroyers, according to Starships of the Galaxy are merely a hundred times more then that of normal Stardestroyers (I believe the passage was referring to the 1600 meter long Stardestroyers in that case).

Huh . . . so my estimate's actually way heavier than the EU. I'm cool with that, though of course I'd imagine that the SDN types would consider the TFU data to be stupid and minimalist. ;)

Wouldn't you have the mass and volume figures for the Lucrehulk-class battleship via Sketchup by chance?

That's already there, listed as the Trade Federation droid control ship (which is basically a battleship with a lot of extra dish doodads all over it), though I hope to get a decent-looking plain battleship eventually. There are a couple of SketchUp models available, but they're generally kinda crappy . . . even the best one has a really weird butt. But, the values I got after trying to clean out the innards for volumetric calculation were close enough to the old figure to be in generally decent agreement.

Suffice it to say, it's just massive. Even if it was only as long as a Star Destroyer, the fact that it would also be that wide with its thick and meaty arms and spherical core would make it dwarf the volume of the Star Destroyer. But, it's twice as long or thereabouts, so it ends up being something like 30 times the volume. Or in other words, it's about 1/6th of a Super Star Destroyer, volumetrically.

Oh right, I missed that one. Dunno, the pink perhaps. :)
There seems to be good models of the Outrider (YT-2400), the TIE bombers and other rebel fighters, although there's one Outrider model, but it looks fairly accurate (nothing like the Kenner toy, huh <_<).
;D
