Re: Next Moderator?
Is this to be a secret ballot or should we explain who we voted for?

Re: Next Moderator?
The real issue comes down to this: regardless of who you vote for, that person still has to be willing to do the job.

Re: Next Moderator?
I voted for general donner, but in light of his reluctance to do it and Mikes statement, I will state that I'd be willing to do the moderator thing for a bit, give it a try.

Re: Next Moderator?
If people really do wish me to be second moderator and trust me to carry out the duties of that august office, then I'm open to it. I just don't wish to presume. As already acknowledged, I'm greatly honored by the confidence our members seem to have in me, despite my limited contribution to the board thus far.Mike DiCenso wrote:The real issue comes down to this: regardless of who you vote for, that person still has to be willing to do the job.

I must warn, though, that I haven't moderated anywhere before, so presumably there's a lot of technical stuff I'd have to learn in order to do a good job of it, if I'm elected.
Oh, and I've now voted.

General Donner, you debate in a calm way, you present evidence, and franckly, you are very polite.
Any Technical issues you have, trust in Mike, he's used to it, and he can help you.

Re: Next Moderator?
Praeothmin quit, I refused to be eligible, and Donner may be too fresh although there's potential.
Trinoya has some extensive board experience, so I think my vote goes for him.
Other people, dunno, too much like me, snapping at the most inappropriate time and too passionate (regardless of the topic, no matter the sens of justice as understood by each one of us).

Re: Next Moderator?
Guys, do you realize thus far that there are as many moderator choices as there are people who actually voted?

Well, unless Rogerd wants to join in on this, I think you've pretty much covered all the potential currently active and eligible candidates for the job.
