wysiwyg text software that recognizes forum tags?

Post by Mr. Oragahn » Wed Oct 21, 2009 12:40 pm

I'm looking for something like a superior text editor that specializes in previewing what your post would look like, just by pressing a key.

Why not use a forum's preview function? Well, first, it's slow, and cumbersome.
Secondly, I type most of my posts, at least when they start to get lengthy, in a text editor (editpad lite).

I'm merely looking for a software that is that simple (no website editor such as NoteTab or else), which allows switching back and forth between brute text and forum text with just a shortcut key or mouse function.
It shall recognize all the , , [quote], [color] and else (and actually offer a complete palette of hexadecimal colours), allow different configurations (config 1 for this forum, config 2 for that forum) since some requires "" to be used in some tags, like quotations, where others don't.

Any idea?
