I'am being plagued by this bug constantly, and when the double-post occur and I delete the extra, I wind up losing the post in my posting count, even though the message is there.

Oh yeah, the longer the post, the more likely this error seems to crop up. It's really annoying.

I feel your pain. At some point, I'm probably just going to do a fresh reinstall and see if that makes things stay fixed.

If that works, it might be necessary as periodic maintance.

I just throught I'd throw in that I am suffering the same thing, and sometimes it double posts even if it doesn't give me the error message.

Yes, that one and the 505 white page thing. It seems that the SQL occurs if you don't post a message within the next minutes you've loaded the reply page, new tab or not.

EDIT: the other one goes as such:

When you get ISE errors on the wiki and forum, that means the server is going through one of its periodic episodes of bad behavior.

If this is chronic to the server and not SFJN itself, then maybe a switch to another server is in order?

In which case would it be possible to publically (as in, this forum) list all of the possible server options you're considering and their estimated costs?

For the US, I suppose. And maybe we could know what server we'll have to avoid in the future.

I'm not considering anything. It's ultimately JMS' decision, assuming that the problem is truly endemic to the current server he is hosting his website on.
