Canon status of Clone Wars movie?

Pretty self-explanatory, though a bit confusing since I was under the impression that all "movies" were highest-level canon, though the new Clone Wars movie seems to be a potentially ambiguous case.

T-canon. Meaning above C-canon but below G-canon. That goes for the entire series, not just the movie.

Lately Chee has been saying it's not part of the EU but part of the Movie 'tree' when it comes to canon though, so it might get classed as G-canon before long.

All this and more can be found on the wookipedia article on canon. It has all the relevant links to where this has been said too.

T level? I didn't know there was such a thing.
For all I know, Lucas' heavily involved in it. That makes it quite close to G, if not almost entirely G canon.

It was added specifically for the Clone Wars series. T as in TV canon.

This (and Lucas' general ****ing around with what constitutes "canon" status) is one of the reasons why in general I gave up trying to come up with a proper personal canon policy and why I've largely left the vs. debate. It's almost as if coming up with a new canon tier is Lucas' way of saying "Eff You!" to the vs. community.

I'm halfway tempted to even ask why even bother with a canon policy.

By Chee? Did Lucas have anything to do with that (unlikely imo)?

Shouldn't we have, then, a B canon, for books, or say N, for novelizations.

If it's TV canon, the Ewok movies fall in that T level.

Yes. As far as I know Lucas has pretty much nothing to do with Lucas Licencing. The G, T, C, S ladder system is something they created, not he.

Hey, I don't make the rules.

As amusing as that would be, no, T is for the live action series and the new cartoon.

Eh? The Ewok movies are explicitely TV films. They couldn't be anything else but T. They have been considered lower G canon for quite some time. T is the perfect slot for that.

Wait, I thought T canon was for the old Clone Wars show...

and the new ones were going to be G.

This is all far to convoluted

It's really quite simple:
Wookiepedia wrote:T-canon[1], or Television Canon[2], refers to the canon level comprising the feature film Star Wars: The Clone Wars and the two television shows Star Wars: The Clone Wars and the Star Wars live-action TV series.[3][4] Its precedence over C-Level canon was confirmed by Chee[5].
Link so you can check out the sources.

George Lucas has a writer's credit for the story, so I can only conclude that The Clone Wars is G-level canon.

But notice, l33t, that this bit doesn't explicitely exclude the Ewok movies from an element they rightfully belong to.
They've been made by Lucas, I think even written and filmed by him, and were TV movies.

I'd bet my hat that if one would ask this to Sansweet for example (wink wink) his reply would agree with me.
If not, then I better buy loads of sauce cause I'm going to need *some* to swallow that hat.

Just taking a break from ComicCon here in Sand Diego to chime in. This is a good question, and I'll make a go at asking Sansweet if TV episodes written by Lucas constitute G-level canon.

Think about the TV Ewoks as well.
