I'm friends with Wayne outside of forums and yes he gave up SW a while back. He's working on a paranormal documentary right now.
If SW isn't a cult film, what is?
Army of Darkness.

Mainstream films with massive impact on popular culture don't count. Its the same reason why Trek isn't a cult franchise.
You really agree with Trin, i.e. that they're not at war with "infidels" who aren't pro-Wars?
Some of them, yeah they are, the ones with no life outside of the net. Most? Nope.

I base my accusations of cult-exremism and trolling on behavior too-- so you're saying SDN mods aren't a pro-warsie cult?
ST-v-SW proves otherwise, with reams of proof.
Oh for cripes sake. How much of that is recent?

You know the mod staff recently went through a massive restructing with guys like Ghost Rider (one of the most hostile mods to Trek) getting 86'ed?

SDN is rabidly anti-Trek, that's plain to any literate visitor to their site.

That was the case four years ago, back when Wong was in charge. However, having not visited SDN for some time, I can't really say.

Go to the tech page here:http://stardestroyer.net/Empire/Tech/
when that changes, let me know.
When they say that the EU is not canon, let me know.
Until then, it's the same ol' same ol'.

So are we talking about the main site or the forum now? Cause there not the same thing.

It is if the forum enforces the same canon-policy.
And a mainstream film can still have a cult-folllowing.

Thats not what you said. You claimed it was a "cult film."

And frankly, you need to sign up and see for yourself. Broad sweeping generalizations are generally bad. I could make sweeping statements like "SFJ members are rabid Darkstar fanbois!" but I would be wrong, now wouldn't I?

Same thing, in this case.

Non sequitur, there's no evidence to support such a claim-- unlike SDN and SBC.
You're confusing prejudice with the obvious.
There's plenty of rational Muslims in Afhanistan, but only a fool would say it's not dominated by cult-extremists: the point is that there's no rational Catholics talking religon there, there, since the country is rabidly anti-Catholic, and only an irrational Cathoic would do it.

And I could say "Iraq has undergone massive restructuring to its government, it's now democratic and so there's nothing to worry about."
But of course that would be insane, too.

Yeah, I wish.
Ok, deal: go to SDN and say that the EU isn't canon, and see what happens.
Fair enough?

Actually, go sign up to "new testingstan" and talk about it there. Theres a bunch of folks there (me included) that feel Trek got handed a bum deal but don't really bother to argue anymore because:

A. you cover the same ground endlessly
B. you cover the same ground endlessly with the same folks.

Though if you do sign up on SDn, try not to act like you have been here. You'll just get banned.

Dang, I wonder what UG will do when he realizes I have an account both at spacebattles and SDN.

I'll be honest Uni, you're acting like I did 13 years ago... when I was 13 no less. It kinda explains why it's hard to take anything you say seriously, since I'm reasonably sure I would have punched 13 year old me a few times in the face. I digress...

Again, spirit of giving and all: Take my advice, simmer down, take a step back and ask yourself is this
TROLL! TRINNOYA IS A TROLL FOR SDN!!
how you want to present yourself?

If it is.. then all you want to do is have a place to shout and scream about your own franchise and how much you like it... not actually debate... not do anything constructive.

Which is exactly that whole FANaticism thing I was talking about earlier, you know that thing that the people on the 'good' side are supposed to be above.

I used to tell people, "If you're really interested in unbiased debate then ask yourself if you'd save your opposition from falling off a cliff and see if you like the answer."

Perhaps you should ask yourself that.
