You're way too harsh on this animation class from 'ol Ralph Bakshi. I mean, were else can you get this classic scene:

Max: Fritz! Fritz, get up for God's sake! Get up! They've killed Fritz! They've killed Fritz! Those lousy stinking yellow fairies! Those horrible atrocity-filled vermin! Those despicable animal warmongers! They've killed Fritz! Take that! Take this! Take that, you green slime! You black hearted, short, bow-legged...

Fritz: Max! Max, I'm okay! I'm okay max. Just a scratch. Look I'm all right.

Max: Oh. Oh, damn. There you go again, stepping on my lines, raining on my parade, costing me medals. Oh, damn.

[Accidentally shoots Fritz]

Max: Ohh. Oh, Fritz? Fritz, get up for God's sake! Get up! They've killed Fritz! They've killed Fritz! Those lousy stinking yellow fairies! Those horrible atrocity-filled vermin! Take that! Take that! They killed Fritz!

Watch it here on YouTube.

Pure comedy gold!

Same thing for Blackwolf and Avatar's anti-climatic final battle.

Okay, the "They've killed Fritz!" scene was pretty funny, and the final "battle" between Avatar and Blackwolf was awesome, if only for how it busts cliches, but the rest of the movie made me feel like I was trippin' balls.

If those scenes are the best to get from that movie, better skip the whole thing.
It's just dumb.

It's rather disturbing the video rental places where I live had that in the children's section.

That red robot looks like Bender.

It's not really a fantastic movie or even really good, but the movie is interesting to watch and does have some fairly good scenes. But the movie is old, does look like it was made on a budget, and hasn't aged well as one might have hoped.

It isn't really a bad movie though.
