*sighs* Well, I apologize for sounding retarded. :)

Though I must say, SB's banning policy seems rather lenient, you know, since they don't appear to I.P. ban.

Most boards I know of don't go that far. I know a few boards that do, but most of the people who run it are typically douche bags or they have a age group that they want to protect (ie, post something disgusting like porn and expect it to happen)

In some cases IP bans are a necessity. On the SFJ Database, it's the only way to stop certain vandals from defiling entire sections of entries as simply banning a membership is not enough, nor is giving them a warning since they simply ignore such things and continue on with their intentionally destructive behavior. Furthermore, most of these trolls simply log in and change entries under their IP accounts anyway, and so it is really the only resort to stopping them.
