I'am considering putting into the Database an article on board invasions. Does anyone have a good, minimally or non-inflammatory definition, as well as a general history of this Versus debate specific internet phenomena?

how about just "the intentional act of disrupting a message board or forum community through disruptive posting or troll-like behavior while deliberately advertising allegiance to a competing community"?

Interesting proposal, except that it does not address that a board invasion is a tactic committed by multiple people. But otherwise that is a good way of describing it. Thanks, ILDN.
