Something like this will happen: Anakin, Ashoka and Obi-Wan have just won a major victory against the Separatists and they're all in the midst of celebrating along with a recently freed race of furry small creatures. Then when doing the shimmy Ashoka suddenly slips and falls on a loose rock, hits her head and dies. Anakin shrugs and says "Meh." Then suddenly the Separatist assault on Coruscant starts.

She dies off screen. No explanation given. Episode III starts. We don't even know if she's dead. Which keeps young fans wanting for more.l33telboi wrote:Something like this will happen: Anakin, Ashoka and Obi-Wan have just won a major victory against the Separatists and they're all in the midst of celebrating along with a recently freed race of furry small creatures. Totally confirmed in TPM, as podracers jump off a mesa's ledge and stabilize a dozen meters below once close to the ground. Just like cars, safe that in place of tires, there are those repulsors.2046 wrote: 4. The capital city had a big pit around it (a la a moat) and a "plasma bridge" that would act as a solid for walking or for antigrav transports. You can basically think of it as a cool-to-the-touch blunt lightsaber (e.g. no cutting or burning). When the bridge was deactivated the antigrav transports started dropping right away, implying that the big antigrav vehicles somehow push against the ground instead of just floating in place against a nullified gravity.
They obviously are highly dependent on matter density. It's quite evidence by any landspeeder behaviour, notably Luke's one when they approach Mos Eisley.
A repulsor seems to create a cushion field which keeps a vehicle at a given altitude above the ground once it's properly compressed.
To raise, the field has to be increased in power I suppose.

About three years.PunkMaister wrote:Does anyone know how long the Clone wars lasted? 2 years? 3? What?
If it's 3 then this show could potentially go for 2 more seasons at the very least.

Then the show can still have plenty of steam left before Asoka and other main characters byte the dust.2046 wrote:About three years.PunkMaister wrote:Does anyone know how long the Clone wars lasted? 2 years? 3? What?

But I think losing Asoka given how close Anakin is to the Alien girl plays a part in his eventual fall to the dark side.

Each season doesn't have to be 1 year. Each could be as little as 3-5 months and that doesn't stop them from revisiting earlier times in the war. They probably won't have it go for 6 or 7 years. They'll probably do it till they can get the live action thing up and running, but they can come back and do a second toon also set during the CW.

Given that the character of Asoka is taking on the role of the (annoying) little sister for Anakin, it is very likely that her death is inevitable and plays a key role in pushing him down the path to the Dark Side. So it seems that it works this way:
- Anakin is born a bitter slave
- He is seperated from his mother
- Shimi is killed by Sand People before Anakin is able to return and save her.
- Asoka takes on the role of sister and then dies, probably as a result of something Anakin with do or likely fail to do.
- Pademe is Anakin's wife and is killed as a result of his misguided turn to the Dark Side of the Force, ironically in order to save her.
So there seems to definitely be a theme of the importance of family here with Anakin ultimately being saved by family: his son and daughter, Luke and Leia.
