How serious were they about an ENT episode with Daleks?

The concept of a Doctor Who-ENT crossover was actually being seriously considered by none other than writer/producer Russell T Davies, but was forced to drop it when ST:ENT was cancelled.

Can you imagine the howls of fury and nerd rage if phasers and photons had been able to kill timewar Daleks and their ships...:).

That presumes that Davies would have used the Daleks as a villain, and not another like the Master, or the Cybermen. It'd have been nice if things had progressed in the crossover's development for some details like that to be hashed out.
