Apeculture-Science and the Original Star Wars Trilogy

Post by Mike DiCenso » Tue Nov 30, 2010 5:21 am

A great insightful as well humorous look at science and other aspects of the Star Wars movies by Michael A. Dexter. The article is in 4 parts, a kind of overview, and then specific looks at the gaffs and inconsistancies as well as scientific issues of each movie.

* Part I, "Overview"

* Part 2, Star Wars

* Part 3, The Empire Strikes Back

* Part 4, The Return of the Jedi

One thing he agrees on with us here at SFJN is the lack of competence of the Rebels attack on the Death Star. He notes that that Rebels made no attempt to wipe out the turbolaser batteries around the exaust port, nor did those not not involved in making the the attack runs on the port did nothing to help when Vader and his wingmen swooped in for the kill.
