Not a fan of the CGI series that makes up T canon? I consider it better then most of the Star Wars Movies and Novelizations.

EU is such confusion that I avoid it in general - at least when it comes to ST-vs-SW discussion.

As I understand it T canon is not a part of the Star Wars EU, and anything in the EU/C, S canon that disagrees with it is now N canon.

The acting and sound quality is better then the movies anyway, and the stories are good. Even Jar Jar is tolerable.

The executive producer(s) are George Lucas and Catherine Winder, and I seem to recall reading articles that said that Lucas had direct input on the series..

"The Wounded" - Ben Maxwell and the crew.

DS9:
"Sacrifice of Angels"

i loved every damn piece of sw zahn ever wrote, and he had the funniest ongoing gag joke in the EU imo when everyone kept saying that lando calrissian had pointlessly and uselessly chased a ship 'halfway across the galaxy'. something about that absolutely KILLED me, and it was repeated a dozen times.

i'm pretty sure it was also zahn who wrote the line 'Quite unfairly, the alarm went off just as Wedge started on his dessert.' then wedge considers jamming a whole piece of cake into his mouth as he bolts for his ship, but decides it would set a bad example. zahn has a hell of a knack for humor, or at least for my kind of humor.

I can't negate that. But so far "Rise of the Dark Force" is only EU novel I ever read.

Yeah, if you want to read the EU, read the Zahn novels, they are definitely some of the best.
Vector Prime, from Salvatore is also good... But I'm a Salvatore fan, so I'm a bit biased... :)

I like Zahn's writing too, even though the only SW book by him I've read is "Survivor's Quest".

You fail at life. You shall now read read "Heir to the Empire" and its corresponding sequels to make up for your failure.


Seriously, I am biased and love pretty much all of the EU books I have read(WELL over 50 novels) but the Zahn books are very good novels, not just good SW novels, but good novels. Give them a look. They're not literary masterpieces or anything, just damn good reads.

'heir to the empire' forced me to enter the eu. i thought it was that good. but you can skip the duology without missing anything.

Darth Plaguieus (sure I spelt that wrong but meh) is a good read. I think it's designed to make us hate Palpatine all the more. Any chance that he may have had redeemable qualities ends with this book.

You mean they protray Plagueis as a sort of "grey area" guy who might have represented a better future, perhaps, because he wandered where the Jedi were to afraid to go?
Or was he painted as a plain badass vilain we wish had still been there?
