Yeah, sure. Anyway, I'm a couple of episodes late. I particularly hard times to stomach the one with Jar Jar.

Cartoon Network reruns them on Sunday and occasionally the hour prior to premiers in Friday, if that's more convenient for you.

But this is the dreaded Jar-Jar we're talking about here, my boy. It's going to take me a while to screw up the courage to watch that one, especially after having watched the awesome nBSG episode on the 17th. ;-)

The Jar-Jar episode does provide for nice contrast when compared to the grimdark of nBSG. It's also very annoying, but what can you do.

Not watching the Jar-Jar episode is one option... ;-)

IMHO, the latest Jar-Jar one wasn't too bad, he actually seems somewhat subdued in this case.

So you're saying ILDN, that I'll have to only be half drunk to watch this episode? ;-)

Oh good, I guess that means I can save at least half a bottle of hard liquor for surviving through some other awful TV episode or movie. ;-)

You know, thinking about some of the discussion going on in the other sites topic has made me think....

...now I know I'm just stating the obvious here, but I think the CW cartoon is just meant to sell toys. But of course, saying that out loud actually makes you think about it and all the implications.

Now, the episodes are still pretty good, mind you, but my point is, catering to either side of the Vs. debate doesn't exactly sell toys now, does it?

Another week, another episode. This time with added Takei.

In this one our heroes defend a neutral village from fiery death as the Separatists attempt to use it as a testing ground for a new weapon. And this weapon is rather interesting. It kills everything organic, but leaves mechanical stuff intact. Neutron Bomb? No, none of the characteristics fit. It seems to generate a wall of fire that simply burns everything around it. Canonically it's called a 'defoliator capsule'. The diameter of the fiery ring seems to be around a few hundred meters, at the most, and the ring doesn’t expand too quickly. Given the way this seems to work, anyone behind cover should be alright (it doesn't seem to penetrate the ground, spread upwards, or go through a shield). The weapon was destroyed after the test.

Other then that, there are a few nifty things. Deployable shields that can cover a small village, about the size of a man's torso. They shields look very much like the Gungan variety. Anything except weapons fire seems to be able to pass through the shields.

Small furry animals destroy droids with clubs and wires, reminding one of the brutal savagery of the Ewoks and their merciless slaughter of stormtroopers.

A lot of weapons impact on the ground, from Tanks, droids, etc. The clones seem to have jamming devices in their wrist-units, and the Separatists employ probe-droids.

The only thing that seems to protect the high-walled Separatist 'fort' that they erected around the landing ships against infiltrators seems to be spotlights and droids looking for intruders. Apparently no sensor tech is employed. The speed at which they deployed this wall was rather impressive though, couldn’t have been more then a day.

The episode guide gives another interesting bit of information. Anakin would require a several days of healing, even with the help of Lurmen 'healing wrap'. Thus giving us a fair understanding of Jedi healing.

Ah, so, if the Empire of the Rising Sun had been attacking, surely they would've been successful!

The Imperial war machine has been unleashed! Do not struggle against what is inevitable! All who stand in the way of our divine destiny will be swept away by the march of history!

The latest episode (15 - "Trespass") was not terribly interesting. Spear-chunkers overwhelm both a Separatist and a Republic base, evidently without depopulating themselves in the process.

I'll have to count, but it looks like the British at Rorke's Drift had a far superior relative body count.

I actually like AOTC, I know I am in the minority, but I think that it accomplished its purpose rather nicely. Also, the Yoda line, OMG:

Yoda: Lost a planet, Master Obi-wan has. How embarrassing.
