Data versus the Doctor

Post by Narsil » Mon Aug 27, 2007 9:14 pm

All right... we've got two identical scenarios in place.

Two unfamiliar alien ships are placed some fair distance away from each other, both at equal distances away from a star. Their engines and all sorts of defences have been deactivated and disabled. Both of them will drift into the star in exactly one hour.

On one ship we have the Doctor, armed with his sonic screwdriver. On the other ship, we have Data, armed with his tricorder.

The first one to repair their ship and fly away from the star wins. Since I have no doubt that they both can, this is basically a case of 'who does it first?' (And, knowing both characters, 'who does it first and then renders help to the other?')

I'm going to assume that it is far enough away that neither of them can render aid in the form of parts to each other.

That said, if Data is on a federation starship he gets finished first. If not, the doctor gets done first. It is no more complicated than that.
