Mass Effect vs Homeworld 2

Specifically, comparision: technology, numbers, industrial capacity. I'm especially interested in how Hiigaran Empire compares to Mass Effect powers (Turian Hierarchy, Asari , Salarian Union, Systems Alliance).
Few points to discuss:
1) weapons efficiency and combat comparasion between ships
2) FTL velocities
3) tactics, strategy and doctrine
4) political organization, history and culture
And
5) extra scenario: suppose that Homeworld 2 Hiigaran Empire got itself transported into Mass Effect Galaxy around events of ME1. How would it fare against Reapers, based on the above?
