I saw this on factpile and though this would be a interesting discussion here.

So what if the Tyranids from Warhammer 40K invaded the Star Wars Galaxy after the battle of Endor? How will the Galactic Empire and the Rebel Alliance deal with the Tyranids? How will the Star Wars races react to the Tyranids? Can anything in SW stand against them?

That all depends on whether this is a fight between the Tyranids and the Saxtonite/ICS version of Star Wars, or the George Lucas one.
