Re: Humankind Empire Abh vs The Galactic Empire
The Abh have a very impressive territory, and their fleets are vast. Literally millions of large capital ships, many rivalling all classes of Star Destroyers in size. They also built a large central habitat in space that appears comparable to or execeeds the Death Stars in scale, thus establishing they have the industrial might to deal with the Empire at that level. Furthermore, unlike the Empire and the former Republic, they are not bound to planets, so attempting to terrorize them with a Death Star or an Eclipse-class SD would not work out quite the same as it would against a conventional power.
So depending on which version of the Galactic Empire you use, the Abh should at the very mininum hold their own against all but the Saxton ICS one.

The HEA do need the planets in their empire for commerce and resources though don't they? area denial is still viable? what about ftl speed?

Which means they should handle the UFP easily. Interesting

No, they don't, not really. They tolerate planet-bound humans, and allow commerce between the worlds, so long as those humans do not violate the Abh's ban on space travel beyond low planetary orbit.Admiral Breetai wrote:The HEA do need the planets in their empire for commerce and resources though don't they? area denial is still viable? what about ftl speed?

Skooj, this is clear and away trolling. You've been kindly "unoffically" warned about your behavior in the past, so this time I'm giving you an offical warning.InvaderSkooj wrote:Which means they should handle the UFP easily. Interesting

oh I was under the impression they actually needed them for resources and occasionally new "Abh's"Mike DiCenso wrote:

Re: Humankind Empire Abh vs The Galactic Empire
They don't need them for resources when they have all of the vast resources of space to make use of? People? Well, they do occasionally allow landers to become Abh, or to serve in the military as we see later on in Banner of the Stars. Very occasionally normal humans get to interbreed with one. But the Abh don't need to do any of this. If the Empire uses a Death Star or other super-duper weapon to destroy or sterilize a planet, the Abh will no doubt be pissed off by attacks on their protectorates, but it won't really hurt their war effort in any real way.Admiral Breetai wrote:oh I was under the impression they actually needed them for resources and occasionally new "Abh's"Mike DiCenso wrote:

what type of response can the Empire expect if they hit protectorate space like that?
