Action Hero Free-For-All

Post by User1555 » Fri Oct 14, 2011 4:32 am

The following movie characters must eliminate each other in five different arenas, who would get the most wins out of these scenarios?

Arenas:

New York City (modern)
New York City (Escape from New York)
The Nostramo (from Alien, with no crew, no alien)
Amazon Rainforest (40 sq kilometer patch)
Roman Coliseum (set in ancient Rome)

Combatants:

Dutch (Predator)
Paul Kersey (Death Wish)
Rambo (Rambo)
Max Rockatansky (Mad Max)
James Bond (Goldfinger)
John McClane (Die Hard)
Harry Callahan (Dirty Harry)
Snake Plissken (Escape from New York)

Combatants can use any of their signature weapons or pieces of equipment that they would reasonably have access to.

So which combatants would the individual arenas favor? Who would you expect to come out on top over all? Who is would be the weakest overall?

Which New York city is this? Just ordinary late 20th Century/early 21st century New York as we all know and love it? Or is this the Big Apple from "Escape from New York" or some other apocalyptic setting?

Also is the fully functional, crowd-filled Roman Coliseum from the heyday of Ancient Rome?

I added options for both Modern and 'Escape from New York' New York. The Coliseum is Ancient Roman, not modern, and will have a crowd of onlookers baying for the blood of the contestants. Both versions of new york will also have their appropriate denizens.

I give it to Rambo in all scenarios...
While he isn't the strongest (Dutch has that honor), may not be the best HtH fighter, he is among the best in any and all endeavours...
Both Rambo and Dutch are skilled guerilla warriors, but Rambo is the better at ambushing and getting out of ambushes, and all settings have great ambush potential...

The others are essentially very good cops, and don't even have a chance against Dutch or Rambo...

Snake Plisskin is not a cop, Praeo. He's former Spec Ops, like Dutch and Rambo, and demonstrated superb skill with his MAC-10 submachine, knives, and hand-to-hand.

Intentionally maybe. But the others are so over the top, that the same could be argued for all the others as well.
