I resently saw the third live action Transformers movie, and I was wondering if there is any information on what kinds of weapons the humans are suppose to be using? Looking at the props the barrels are far to large to be firing standard ammunition.

Are they suppose to be energy/"plasma" weapons, rail/coil guns, or are they just suppose to be using large rounds like those used by a Paw-20? I've been trying to find information at transformers wikis, and other places on the net, can find a thing.
