I was wondering what people at this board thought of the prototype powered armor shown in the episode of Halo Legends called prototype. It seems a lot like something a fan of Halo might dream up using mostly off the shelf Halo technologies, but not out of place in the setting.

Any idea why the UNSC might not have fielded something like the prototype armor?

Because the only working prototype was apparently destroyed. They probably didn't have enough time to build another.Lucky wrote:I was wondering what people at this board thought of the prototype powered armor shown in the episode of Halo Legends called prototype. That said, that's a rather shitty article. At no point was the suit not put into service because of the article's stated flaws. It pretty much just made that shit up.

Seriously I would expect them to have at least the ability to recreate it. They had to be reporting to someone, and that someone should have had at least the original designs.
I didn't see any of those flaws. If the prototype was meant for Spartans then it would have likely gone over their smaller armors.Mith wrote:That said, that's a rather shitty article. A normal seeming human can use the armor effectively, and it took a plasma grenade, and armor and pilot only lost an arm.
