The Voth in 40K

On some planet, the Imperial Guard are fighting this race of reptillians. The IG manage to fight them off, but only just. The corpses of these Xenos are taken to the Ordo Xenos, where tests are run on them. Independently, after genetic testing, all of the Ordo Xenos personnell reach one inescapable conclusion. These "Xenos" are actually from Terra.
What effects are there on the Imperium after this discovery is made?

They find it gross?
Or they secretly enjoy it, but then what's the equivalent of "furry" for lizards?
More SRSly, I don't see how it's going to make a difference. The Imperium is fairly used to xenos by now, and discovers more of them the more Tau they meet I guess.
Space lizards? Wouldn't they just shrug and let the Ordos Xenos desiccate the bodies while looting tech?

The knowledge is supressed? I don't know if Voth's are close enough to humans to even have a ghost of a chance for qualifying for abhumans but if their at war with them I very much doubt they'd risk anything which might unduly effect the IG's moral or willingness to kill this strain of Xenos.

I believe the proper term for that is "scalies". ;-)

The whole point of this thread was to discuss how the IoM would react to a race that weren't humans, daemons, or xenos, but another Terran race.

Well, you have to consider how corrupt and twisted the Senatorum Imperialis, the twelve High Lords of Terra really are in suppressing such information that there is a race intelligent dinosaurs that emigrated from Terra many millions of years prior, and are technically among the ancestors of Mankind. That would certainly lead to many bold Heresies. Although the irony of this is, the two goverments are more alike than each would care to admit since the Voth have their "Doctrine" of guiding principles and anything that goes against that is considered heresy, which is why the Voth are not as powerful and as advanced as they could be, though very powerful they still are.
