My point still stands... :)
You can actually see it turn in the show. ;)
The official site that was up ages ago (with the ship guide) mentions that she had been built either before AG or when it was still really expensive.

Thanks, I didn't remember noticing it turning (haven't seen the show in at least a year)...
But again, my point still stands... :)

Neither have I, I gave up around the boxing ep when the angst got to much.
But again, my point still stands... :)
Oh, I'm not arguing with you.

From the article:
"By the time the fleet were leaving Earth, Zephyr's ring was spinning once more ("Sometimes a Great Notion", "A Disquiet Follows My Soul") "
But it does show that some of the technology of the RDM Colonials is not
quite as advanced as the TOS Colonials.

Yeah, only recently was the ship not shown spinning... But that was an actual planned thing since the ship, along with several others, was damaged in the Ionian Nebula battle, and she stayed damaged through several episodes until just this last episode with the repairs to the ring section completed.

Small price to pay Mike, they evidently put the resources into designing an effective hair trimmer...

I remember an afro (Boomer lol) but not mullets. Oddly enough the Apollo/Starbuck hairstyle is back in fashion among older kids at the sons school.

TOS Col. Tigh had more of an afro than
TOS Boomer. The latter kept it fairly short. As for the mullets, I always thought that TOS Starbuck and Apollo just had a variation on the mullet, but oh well.

So did anyone respond to any of the comments about the match up? Anyone rebuttal the "Gauss cannons rule" guy?

I'd say the TOS enterprise Pwns NBSG Galactica by far and wide. The enterprise has the benefit of shields, phaser banks and photon torpedoes. All the NBSG Galactica has are nukes which would be mostly ineffectual against the Enterprise's shields. The fighters would not make that much of a difference either. The only advantage the NBSG Galactica has over TOS enterprise in fact is it's point to point FTL.

Nah, it's more work then is required for what is obviously a comedy topic.

Yeah. As I pointed out earlier, there is no point because the guy who wrote the whole thing is not doing it to be really serious about it in the first place and chose the
Galactica as winner "just 'cause", rather than follow the conclusion, which he himself made in giving the vast majority of advantages to the
Enterprise.
