Ok, after playing through Mass Effect I'm left hanging on some plot details.
What was the purpose of the Reapers periodically wiping out galactic civilisation?
How did Saren find out about them?
How did he find Sovereign?

No one really knows. But probably because they don't want anyone to become as advanced as they are.The Corporal wrote:What was the purpose of the Reapers periodically wiping out galactic civilisation?
Covered in the prequel novel. He's sent on a mission and inadvertantly stumbles across a scientist that has been working on the Sovereign in secret. Sovereign presumebly tells Saren about the Reapers. How did Saren find out about them?

There are two novels, "Revelations" and "Ascension", IIRC. I've read them both and they're ok, but nothing special. The first one has waaay to much exposition though, and as such becomes tedious rather quick. It seems the author wants to explain every single nuance of each and every technology seen or used. The second one is a bit on the boring side. The Corporal wrote:Ahh, thank you. Do you know if the novel is any good?
