Certainly the show stories and dynamics would have been radically different, and if Crosby had quit the show in the hypothetical alternate time as she did in real life, she'd have taken out Troi with her. Ah the might have beens...

She did ok in a harder and tougher role when she played a romulan but im not sure she had the height and physique ect to pull off being the Security Chief like Denise Crosby did.

The Natasha Yar character had potential but it was doomed as security chief from the moment a Klingon stepped onboard, i am not sure why they did it unless it was to try and increase the amount of females in regular/leading roles. After all without Yar they would be stuck with a touchy feely empath and a regular doctor as the entire female leads and that would hardly in keeping with Treks history of trying to be about equality.
And without Yar, that doctor was only female lead that did not suck, with Guinan stepping in occasionally, but not enough for her to be "lead" character. Nor I'm sure she would be as good if she appeared too often.

Ok, next scenario.

Darth Vader vs Picard: from a Warsie's point of view.

Darth Vader and captian picard are marooned on a uninhabited planet. Picard attempts to speak to darth vader and negotate a truce between the empire and the federation. Darth Vader declines and ignites his lightsaber. Picard pulls out his phaser and while doing some useless rolls across the terrain, he fires at Vader. Vader effortlessly blocks the phaser shots, and uses his force powers to pick up picard, choking him until he dies.

Star wars fans everywhere laugh at the trekkies who cry because it wasn't janeway that died.

Picard vs Darth Vader: From a trekkies point of view.

Darth vader and captain picard are marooned on a uninhabited planet. Picard attempts to speak to darth vader and negotiate a truce, but quickly realizes that Darth Vader will not stop until the federation is crushed. He pulls out his phaser and attempts to stun darth vader, but darth vader blocks the shots with his lightsaber. Picard then sets his phaser to full power and when darth vader attempts to block then next shot, his lightsaber explodes in his hands. Darth Vader attempts to use his force powers, but they do not work in the milky way. Picard then resets his phaser for stun, and stuns Vader. Later they are both picked up by a federation transport, and Darth Vader is put in prison for his crimes. For the rest of his life, Darth Vader is made into the mechanical bitch of a big green Gorn named bubba.

Warsies everywhere die from a heart attack, at seeing their Fav villain being desecrated.

Why do trektards insist that the Force will not work in the MW? It almost sounds like it should be a Darkstar argument XD

Probably because Midichlorians seem to indicate its presence, and they don't exist in ST? ;)

Why do warsie morons ignore the fact that the force exists because of Midichlorians and as such do not exist in the ST galaxy because if they did ST would also have jedi.

ST TP and TK powers are not reliant on Midichlorians and this is likely why the powers we see from some races in Trek vastly exceed anything we have see from the force.

Kor, where is it said that the Force exists because of the Midichlorians?
I was joking about the fact that we have no Midichlorians in ST, thus since they seemed to indicate Force potential, then no Force in ST, but it could simply be no Force "users" in ST while the Force is present...
We do not know where the Force comes from...

The Force is said to said to be an energy field created by all life. My personal theory is that ST races with TP/TK have the ability to touch the Force, albeit in a limited way. Meanwhile, midi-chlorians (the gorram things) are a life-form unique to the GFFA, which allow an individual to touch the Force, without regards to species. thus, a Human in the MW, provided they have enough GFFA blood, could become a Jedi

Honestly, in any vs scenario, I always figured the Force existed in the MW, exactly because of its description "Energy field created by all living things"...
The only difference is, in ST, there are no Midichlorians, so no Force users...

It might be relevant that psionic powers in Trek seem to be an internal thing, but everyone in Star Fleet is tested for them.

Yar and Chubacco would be the ideal couple...both are butch and very aggressive but Tasha seems like she'd be the alpha of that pack

Too late. Somebody has probably already written a fanfic where that happens.
