In the discussions I had with friends after seeing the movie for the first time, we all came to the agreement that Fatherless, Directionless, Delinquent Kirk would have made a much better Anakin than the wussy Anakin we got in the the SW prequel movies. ;-)

Even a monkey robbed by a gang of banana-stealers and given a glowing red stick would have made a much more convincing Sith Lord in the prequels.
